Draft dodging; sedition

As amended by P.L.3-1987, SEC.498; P.L.10-1988, SEC.216.

A person may not hold an office within Indiana, either by election or appointment, if the person has been convicted of:

  1. (1) evading the Selective Service Act (50 App. U.S.C. 451-473);
  2. (2) engaging in conspiracy or an attempt to defraud the government of the United States;
  3. (3) seditious utterances in violation of the laws of the United States; or
  4. (4) any other crime against the laws of the United States where the sentence imposed exceeded six (6) months.
