1. (a) This chapter applies to a contract with a maximum contract amount of not less than five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000).
2. (b) This chapter does not apply to a contract entered into by the Indiana department of transportation for the construction, repair, or maintenance of a highway, street, road, or bridge.
