As used in this chapter, "public school corporation" means either of the following:

1. (1) A local public school corporation established under Indiana law, including a:

   1. (A) school city;
   2. (B) school town;
   3. (C) metropolitan school district;
   4. (D) consolidated school corporation;
   5. (E) county school corporation;
   6. (F) community school corporation; and
   7. (G) united school corporation.
2. (2) A charter school (as defined in IC 20-24-1-4 ).
