1. (a) This article and the affected statutes shall be liberally construed to effect the purposes of this article and the affected statutes.
2. (b) To the extent that the definitions in an affected statute are inconsistent with the definitions in this chapter or IC 4-4-10.9 , the definitions in the affected statute prevail.
3. (c) Except as otherwise provided by subsection (b), to the extent that the provisions of this article are inconsistent with the provisions of any other general, special, or local law, the provisions of this article are controlling and supersede all other laws.
