1. (a) A person may not be employed to serve the commission if:

   1. (1) the person or the person's spouse, parent, or child is:

      1. (A) an official of an operator or operating agent engaged in gambling operations in Indiana; or

      2. (B) a person with:

         1. (i) a financial interest in; or

         2. (ii) a financial relation with;

            an operator or operating agent engaged in gambling operations in Indiana; or

   2. (2) the person is a spouse, parent, or child of a commission member.
2. (b) The employment of a person employed in violation of subsection
3. (a) shall be terminated.
