1. (b) The governor is not entitled to receive a salary increase under this section if state employees in the executive branch who are in the same or a similar salary bracket have not received a statewide average salary increase during the previous four (4) state fiscal years.

2. (c) If a salary increase is required under this section, an amount sufficient to pay for the salary increase is appropriated from the state general fund.

Sec. 1. (a) Beginning January 13, 2025, the annual salary of the governor is an amount equal to the annual salary of a supreme court justice under IC 33-38-5-8 , as adjusted under IC 33-38-5-8.1 .
