Ind. Code § 4-15-2.2-30

Rejection of application for employment; grounds

An application for employment may be rejected if the department determines that the applicant:

  1. (1) lacks any of the required qualifications;
  2. (2) is incapable of performing the essential functions of the position that the applicant is seeking;
  3. (3) has been convicted of a crime;
  4. (4) has been dismissed from the public service;
  5. (5) has made a false statement of a material fact; or
  6. (6) committed or attempted to commit a fraud or deception in connection with submitting an application or attempting to secure an appointment to the state civil service.
