Ind. Code § 36-8-3.2-3.5

Physical agility test; standards; general aptitude test; review

As added by P.L.4-1992, SEC.26.
  1. (a) The appointing authority shall adopt standards for police officers establishing a physical agility test that:

    1. (1) does not discriminate on the basis of sex;
    2. (2) reflects the essential functions of the job; and
    3. (3) at a minimum includes testing the following:

      1. (A) Muscular strength.
      2. (B) Muscular endurance.
      3. (C) Cardiovascular endurance.
      4. (D) Musculoskeletal flexibility.
  2. (b) The appointing authority may also adopt standards for police officers establishing a general aptitude test.
  3. (c) The standards required by this section must be presented to the law enforcement training board established under IC 5-2-1-3 for review.
