(a) The appointing authority shall adopt standards for police officers establishing a physical agility test that:
- (1) does not discriminate on the basis of sex;
- (2) reflects the essential functions of the job; and
(3) at a minimum includes testing the following:
- (A) Muscular strength.
- (B) Muscular endurance.
- (C) Cardiovascular endurance.
- (D) Musculoskeletal flexibility.
- (b) The appointing authority may also adopt standards for police officers establishing a general aptitude test.
- (c) The standards required by this section must be presented to the law enforcement training board established under IC 5-2-1-3 for review.
