A housing authority may:

1. (1) lease or rent any land, buildings, structures, or facilities included in a housing project;
2. (2) fix the rentals or charges for property it rents or leases;
3. (3) own, hold, and improve real or personal property;
4. (4) acquire any interest in real or personal property in any manner, including the power of eminent domain;
5. (5) dispose of any interest in real or personal property in any manner;
6. (6) provide for the insurance of the property or operations of the authority against risks or hazards; and

7. (7) obtain from the federal government insurance or guarantees for the payment of any debts secured by mortgages on property included in a housing project, whether or not those debts were incurred by the authority.
