- (a) A special meeting may be held by the legislative body if the executive, the chair of the legislative body, or a majority of the members of the legislative body issue a written notice of the meeting to each member of the legislative body. The notice must state the time, place, and purpose of the meeting.
- (b) The legislative body may consider any matter at a special meeting. However, the only matters that may be acted on at the special meeting are the matters set forth in the notice.
