A township trustee and township board of the new township government shall be elected in the general election in 2030 in accordance with IC 36-6-6-2.1 and IC 36-6-6-3 . A township assessor, if any, shall be elected only for the area within the geographical boundaries of the township assessor's former township under IC 36-6-5-1 .
