Ind. Code § 36-5-2-8

Town clerk-treasurer as clerk; ex officio member for casting tie breaking vote

  1. (a) The town clerk-treasurer is the clerk of the legislative body.

  2. (b) The clerk-treasurer is an ex officio member for the purpose of casting the deciding vote to break a tie.
