1. (a) As used in this section, "clerk" refers to the clerk of the circuit court of Randolph County.

2. (b) Notwithstanding any other law concerning terms of office, the following apply:

   1. (1) The individual elected to the office of clerk at the November 2004 general election is entitled to serve in the office until January 1, 2010.

   2. (2) The individual elected to the office of clerk at the November 2008 general election is entitled to:

      1. (A) take office January 1, 2010, if the individual qualifies; and
      2. (B) serve in the office until January 1, 2013.

   3. (3) The individual elected to the office of clerk at the November 2012 general election is entitled to:

      1. (A) take office January 1, 2013, if the individual qualifies; and
      2. (B) serve in the office until January 1, 2017.
