Ind. Code § 36-1-11-11

Execution of deed or other instrument

Whenever:

  1. (1) there is a dispute concerning the interest in any property of a political subdivision, and the executive considers the dispute not frivolous; or
  2. (2) it would facilitate the establishment of title to any property;

    a deed or other instrument may be executed on behalf of the political subdivision to a person who is eligible to receive the deed or instrument under section 16 of this chapter for any consideration that the disposing agent considers fair and in the public interest.
