As used in this chapter, "code grabbing device" means a device that is capable of:

1. (1) receiving and recording the code signal sent by the transmitter of:

   1. (A) a motor vehicle security alarm system;
   2. (B) a motor vehicle automatic door locking system; or
   3. (C) a residential or commercial automatic garage door opening system; and

2. (2) disarming:

   1. (A) a motor vehicle security alarm system;
   2. (B) a motor vehicle automatic door locking system; or
   3. (C) a residential or commercial automatic garage door opening system.
