As used in this chapter, "transfer" means a:

1. (1) sale;
2. (2) assignment;
3. (3) pledge;
4. (4) hypothecation; or

5. (5) any other form of alienation or encumbrance;

   of structured settlement payment rights made by a payee for consideration.
