The following definitions apply throughout this chapter:

1. (1) "Public school" means:

   1. (A) a public school (as defined in IC 20-18-2-15 ); or
   2. (B) a charter school.
2. (2) "School resource officer" has the meaning set forth in IC 20-26-18.2-1 .
