As used in this chapter, "insurance company" means an association, a corporation, or a fraternal or mutual benefit organization, whether or not for profit, that is engaged in the business of providing insurance, including the following:
- (1) Accident insurance.
- (2) Burial insurance.
- (3) Casualty insurance.
- (4) Credit life insurance.
- (5) Contract performance insurance.
- (6) Dental insurance.
- (7) Fidelity insurance.
- (8) Fire insurance.
- (9) Health insurance.
- (10) Hospitalization insurance.
- (11) Illness insurance.
- (12) Life insurance (including endowments and annuities).
- (13) Malpractice insurance.
- (14) Marine insurance.
- (15) Mortgage insurance.
- (16) Surety insurance.
