Nothing in this article prohibits a person from using:

1. (1) the most recent or a prior version of the SPCS established by the NGS; or

2. (2) the Indiana Coordinate System of 1983, as provided in IC 32-19 ;

   to state the geographic positions or locations of points above, on, or below the surface of the earth within Indiana.
