Ind. Code § 28-9-2-6

"Depository financial institution"

"Depository financial institution" means a financial institution that is organized or reorganized under Indiana law, the law of another state, or United States law. The term includes:

  1. (1) a commercial bank;
  2. (2) a trust company;
  3. (3) a credit union;
  4. (4) a savings bank;
  5. (5) a savings association;
  6. (6) a bank of discount and deposit;
  7. (7) an industrial loan and investment company; or
  8. (8) a similar financial institution to those listed in subdivisions (1) through (7);

    if that financial institution has the financial institution's principal place of business or a branch in Indiana.
