As used in this chapter, "corporation" means any:

1. (1) bank;
2. (2) trust company;
3. (3) corporate fiduciary;
4. (4) savings bank;
5. (5) savings association;
6. (6) industrial loan and investment company that maintains federal deposit insurance;
7. (7) credit union; or

8. (8) bank of discount and deposit;

   organized or reorganized under the laws of this state.
