The statement of withdrawal of a foreign corporation shall be in the form prescribed by the department. The filing of the statement does not affect:

1. (1) any action by or against the corporation that is pending at the time of the filing; or
2. (2) any right of action in favor of or against the corporation existing at or before the time of the filing.
