1. (a) As used in this chapter, "biomarker testing" means the analysis of a patient's tissue, blood, or other biospecimen for the presence of a biomarker.

2. (b) The term includes:

   1. (1) single-analyte tests;
   2. (2) multiplex panel tests;
   3. (3) protein expression; and
   4. (4) whole exome, whole genome, and whole transcriptome sequencing.
