1. (a) The commissioner may examine the affairs of a farm mutual insurance company under IC 27-1-3.1 .

2. (b) The commissioner may take an action that may protect a policyholder's interest if the commissioner determines that a farm mutual insurance company conducts business in a manner that is:

   1. (1) contrary to law applying to a farm mutual insurance company; or
   2. (2) detrimental to policyholder interests.
