A bail agent who discontinues writing bail bonds during the period for which the bail agent is licensed shall:

1. (1) notify the clerks of the circuit court and the sheriffs with whom the bail agent is registered; and

2. (2) return the bail agent's license to the commissioner for cancellation;

   within thirty (30) days after the discontinuance.
