As used in this chapter, "supervising entity" means a business entity that:

1. (1) supervises the activities of a self-storage facility related to a self-storage insurance policy;

2. (2) is an:

   1. (A) insurer; or

   2. (B) insurance producer;

      that is licensed under this title; and

3. (3) issues, or is appointed by an insurer that issues, the self-storage insurance policy.
