A person licensed under this chapter may not engage in beauty culture outside a beauty culture salon unless that person:

1. (1) has the permission of a person who holds a cosmetology salon license and:

   1. (A) employs the person licensed under this chapter; or
   2. (B) leases or subleases a portion of a salon to the person licensed under this chapter; and
2. (2) complies with any other practice restrictions regarding this section established by the board.
