1. (a) An individual may not:

   1. (1) profess to be a licensed marriage and family therapist;

   2. (2) use the title:

      1. (A) "licensed marriage and family therapist";
      2. (B) "marriage and family therapist"; or
      3. (C) "family therapist";
   3. (3) use any other words, letters, abbreviations, or insignia indicating or implying that the individual is a licensed marriage and family therapist; or

   4. (4) practice marriage and family therapy for compensation;

      unless the individual is licensed under IC 25-22.5 , IC 25-23.6-8-1 , or IC 25-33 .

2. (b) An individual may not:

   1. (1) profess to be a licensed marriage and family therapist associate;

   2. (2) use the title:

      1. (A) "licensed marriage and family therapist associate";
      2. (B) "marriage and family therapist associate"; or
      3. (C) "family therapist associate";
   3. (3) use any other words, letters, abbreviations, or insignia indicating or implying that the individual is a licensed marriage and family therapist associate; or

   4. (4) practice marriage and family therapy for compensation;

      unless the individual is licensed under IC 25-22.5 , IC 25-23.6-8-1.5 , or IC 25-33 .

3. (c) Subsections (a)(4) and (b)(4) do not apply to a person who is described in section 2(a) of this chapter.
