Ind. Code § 25-23.4-1-4 – "Certified direct entry midwife"; "CDEM"

(a) "Certified direct entry midwife" or "CDEM" means an individual who is a certified direct entry midwife and certified under this article.
(b) The term does not include any of the following:
1. (1) An individual engaged in the practice of medicine under IC 25-22.5 .
2. (2) A certified nurse midwife engaged only in the practice of midwifery under IC 25-23 .
3. (3) An individual providing emergency medical services.
