1. (a) "Public practice of geology" means the performance of service to the public in connection with the geological description, location, or evaluation of:

   1. (1) geological materials, liquids, and gases; and
   2. (2) the natural processes acting upon them.

2. (b) The term includes geological:

   1. (1) consulting;
   2. (2) investigating;
   3. (3) evaluating;
   4. (4) designing; and
   5. (5) planning.
