Ind. Code § 25-17.3-4-5

Expiration of license; renewal; fee; expired license

  1. (a) Subject to IC 25-1-2-6 (e), a license issued by the board expires on the date established by the agency under IC 25-1-5-4 in even-numbered years.
  2. (b) To renew a license, a genetic counselor shall:

    1. (1) pay a renewal fee not later than the expiration date of the license; and
    2. (2) meet all other requirements for renewal under this chapter.
  3. (c) If an individual fails to pay a renewal fee on or before the expiration date of a license, the license becomes invalid without further action by the board.
  4. (d) If an individual holds a license that has been invalid for not more than three (3) years, the board shall reinstate the license if the individual meets the requirements of IC 25-1-8-6 (c).
  5. (e) If more than three (3) years have elapsed since the date a license has expired, the individual who holds the expired license may seek reinstatement of the license by satisfying the requirements for reinstatement under IC 25-1-8-6 (d).
