Ind. Code § 25-1-9.5-2.2

"Eye care professional"

As used in this chapter, "eye care professional" means either of the following:

(1) A physician licensed under IC 25-22.5 who practices ophthalmology.
(2) An optometrist licensed under IC 25-24 .
