"Sufficient proof of authority"

As added by P.L.65-2014, SEC.9.

As used in this chapter, "sufficient proof of authority" means documentation that shows a representative has authority to act on behalf of a protected consumer and includes:

  1. (1) an order issued by a court of law;
  2. (2) a lawfully executed and valid power of attorney; or
  3. (3) a written, notarized statement signed by a representative that expressly describes the authority of the representative to act on behalf of a protected consumer.
