As used in this chapter, "person" means:

1. (1) an individual;
2. (2) a proprietorship;
3. (3) a partnership;
4. (4) a firm;
5. (5) an association;
6. (6) a corporation;
7. (7) a limited liability company; or
8. (8) another legal entity.
