As used in this chapter, "genetic data" means any data, regardless of format, that:

1. (1) results from the analysis of an individual's biological material, including analysis of:

   1. (A) the complete DNA;
   2. (B) regions of the DNA;
   3. (C) chromosomes;
   4. (D) genes; or
   5. (E) gene products; and

2. (2) concerns an individual's genetic characteristics.

   The term does not include deidentified data.
