1. (a) The department may enter into an agreement under IC 22-13-2-12 to authorize the sale and use of industrialized building systems and mobile structures that are not certified under section 1 or 2 of this chapter but are certified under the requirements of any of the following:

   1. (1) The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
   2. (2) Another state.
   3. (3) A foreign country.

2. (b) The department may enter into an agreement under IC 22-13-2-12 to inspect and certify industrial building systems and mobile structures under the requirements of any of the following:

   1. (1) The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
   2. (2) Another state.
   3. (3) A foreign country.
