- (a) The Indiana geological and water survey is established as a part of Indiana University.
- (b) The head of the survey is the state geologist.
(c) The survey is under the direction and control of the board of trustees of Indiana University to:
- (1) continue the geological, hydrogeological, and scientific survey of Indiana;
- (2) continue the work of discovering, developing, and preserving the water, mineral, and energy resources of Indiana; and
(3) have charge of the state geological sample collection.
