The board of trustees must be persons in law capable of:

1. (1) suing and being sued;
2. (2) pleading and being impleaded;
3. (3) answering and being answered unto; and

4. (4) defending and being defended, in all courts and places, in all manner of actions, suits, complaints, matters, and causes.
