1. (a) An applicant for an educational costs exemption under this chapter may appeal an adverse determination in writing to the military department not more than fifteen (15) business days after the date the applicant receives the determination under this chapter.

2. (b) The military department shall issue a final order not more than fifteen (15) business days after the department receives a written appeal under subsection (a).
