The department and the state board of tax commissioners shall select pilot school corporations under section 2 of this chapter. Beginning January 1, 1997, the school corporations selected under section 2 of this chapter shall comply with SECTIONS 1 through 17 of P.L.50-1996 as if those SECTIONS were effective January 1, 1997.
