Ind. Code § 20-35-11-2.4

"Full continuum of communication options"

As used in this chapter, "full continuum of communication options" means any method of communication used by a child who is deaf or hard of hearing and the child's parent. The term may include any of the following:

  1. (1) American sign language.
  2. (2) Cued speech.
  3. (3) Listening and spoken language.
  4. (4) Augmentative and alternative communication.
  5. (5) Any combination of communication methods under subdivisions (1) through (4).
