The department shall disaggregate from the total results of the ISTEP program test results for a school corporation the percentage of students in each school and each grade in the school corporation that are identified as high ability students (as defined by IC 20-36-1-3 ) by the school corporation who also achieved a score in the highest performance level designated for the ISTEP test. However, this disaggregation is not required in a case in which the results would reveal personally identifiable information about an individual student under the federal Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (20 U.S.C. 1232g et seq.).
