The transition to teaching program is established to accomplish the following:

1. (1) Facilitate the transition into the teaching profession of competent professionals and recent college graduates in fields other than teaching.

2. (2) Allow competent professionals and recent college graduates to be issued a teaching license through participation in and satisfactory completion of the program.
