The Indianapolis public education corporation exists and shall operate for the public purpose of establishing a unified student transportation, school property, and school performance system within the geographic boundaries of the school city that maximizes the efficient use of taxpayer provided resources, respects the decision making of individual public schools and the school city, and creates the best conditions for student learning and success.
