Transmission of practitioner's instructions to pharmacist

As added by P.L.2-1993, SEC.25. Amended by P.L.204-2005, SEC.11.

If the practitioner communicates instructions to the pharmacist orally or electronically, the pharmacist shall:

  1. (1) indicate the instructions in the pharmacist's own handwriting on the written copy of the prescription order; or
  2. (2) record the electronically transmitted instructions in an electronic format.
