(a) Powers and duties described in this chapter and IC 16-20-8 apply to all local health officers and local health boards. However, this article does not apply to a county that is subject to IC 16-22-8 .
(b) The powers and jurisdiction of a local health officer or local board are limited to the area in which the officer or board serves.
