1. (a) A retail pet store operator that violates this article commits a deceptive act that is actionable by the attorney general or a consumer under IC 24-5-0.5-4 and is subject to the remedies and penalties under IC 24-5-0.5 .
2. (b) A retail pet store operator that misleads a consumer, by contract or otherwise, with the intent to evade the requirements of this article commits a deceptive act that is actionable by the attorney general or a consumer under IC 24-5-0.5-4 and is subject to the remedies and penalties under IC 24-5-0.5 .
3. (c) Nothing in this article shall be construed to prevent a consumer from filing a complaint as provided under IC 24-5-0.5-4 .
