Pipes and fittings must be adequately supported to prevent sagging and possible breakage because of gravity and other forces that may be encountered in the ordinary course of operations. Except for an American National Standards Institute
- (ANSI) Schedule 80 pipe or a pipe with a greater wall thickness or hoses and piping made of stainless steel, all hoses and piping must be located in a contained area or double sleeved. Underground piping is permitted if the piping is:
- (1) made of stainless steel;
- (2) enclosed in secondary containment (a pipe within a pipe); or
- (3) hydrostatically tested annually.
