An officer appointee or a conservation officer of the division may not be ordered in any manner to do any of the following:

1. (1) Engage in the activities or interest of any of the following:

   1. (A) A political party.
   2. (B) A candidate for public office.
   3. (C) A candidate for nomination to public office.

2. (2) Participate in any manner in a political campaign for the nomination or election of candidates to public office.
